MY PRACTICE

STEPH AND OSHY.jpeg

I'm a compassionate sleep consultant and having had three children, I know how emotional it can be when you have a little one that doesn't sleep. That's why I will work with your family to find the most effective way to help your child sleep better.

I use gentle, nurturing methods that are routed in evidence-led practices and I will guide you through the process with empathy and understanding.

I am a fully qualified teacher with 15 years of experience and I use this background to offer thoughtful  insights and structured support to help your little one sleep better.

MY SLEEP JOURNEY

My eldest, Oisin (Oshy for short) had the most awful reflux, often bringing up most of his milk and he was losing weight. I couldn't lay him down, he hated the pram and I could only get him to sleep in the sling or through 30+ minutes of rocking. As he got older and bigger, this just wasn't sustainable anymore. I was completely broken, my husband was ill and I was up all night trying to get my son back to sleep, my back ached and I dreaded the nights. I had such anxiety about sleep that I developed insomnia and even when Oshy was asleep, I was wide awake. It was at this point I reached out to a sleep consultant and it honestly changed my life.

Within just a week we went from ten wake ups per night, to none! Oshy started sleeping through and he was so much happier for it. My little grouchy baby had more energy, and so did I. It felt like I could really enjoy parenthood now.

Two years later I discovered I was pregnant again... this time with TWINS! We were in shock and when lovely little Maisie and Cleo were born, we knew the first six months would be hard, but that we had a solid understanding of sleep and that we would get our evenings and restful nights back one day. We used gentle sleep training methods with them from the age of 6 months and they now sleep through, occasionally waking for a feed and a cuddle. We've done it all, breastfeeding to sleep, dummies, rocking, slings, desperate pram-naps and I know how exhausting it can be. I would love to help you and your family to get better sleep.
